Klein Forest High School – A Brief History

Klein Forest High School is part of the Klein Independent School District. Klein Forest High School opened for the first day of classes in August of 1979. Most of the KFHS Class of 1982 students attended Strack Intermediate School or Wunderlich Intermediate School from 6th – 9th grades. Because Klein Forest was not finished in time, the KF Class of 1982 spent its freshman year at the Intermediate Schools. The KFHS Class of 1982 was the second graduating class from Klein Forest. The first graduating Class of Klein Forest attended Klein High School its freshman and sophomore years. Our 1982 graduating class was very rebellious at Klein Forest High School. The KFHS class of 1982 elected Tom and Joe Class President and Vice President as write in candidates against the wishes of The Man at Klein Forest High School administration. The 1981 – 1982 KFHS school year was a great one. Most of the Klein Forest Class of 1982 went on to school at Texas, Texas A&M, Southwest Texas State and Stephen F Austin. The KFHS ten year reunion was a ton of fun and the 20 year was even better. So, I hope the Klein Forest High School Class of 1982’s 25 year reunion will top the KF 20 year reunion.
