It was a nice restaurant. We also stayed in their pension. It had great food and nice rooms. The rooms overlooked the Neckar river and the bridge to old town was right outside the entrance. The bridge is very cool and everything we wanted to do in Heidelberg was within walking distance of the hotel.

Here’s a quick video someone on youtube took of the restaurant.
The restaurant in this video at 49 seconds is where we ate dinner on our first night on our Honeymoon in Rudesheim, Germany. I remember waking up our first night of our German honeymoon and setting at the window desk watching the ships in the river and looking at Esther sleep in bed. She had major jet lag. I had been traveling with EDS to Europe the last year so I was used to the travel. We did not take this video but shows a ton of highlights we saw around our hotel.

Great shot in front of the hotel and down by the Rhine

I had a Warsteiner beer the other day and it reminded me of Kloster Ettal in the German Alps. Can’t wait to go back and see the Ludwig lodge we stayed at over our honeymoon. The lodge was an old hunting / hiking lodge across from a monastery that brewed a great double bock beer and a fruit liquor similar to Jagermeister but much smoother in Blackberry flavors.
